The United States is proud to be the largest donor to COVAX, the global initiative on COVID-19 vaccines. The arrival of a second batch of 28,800 COVID-19 vaccines in Samoa is yet another critical step in helping ensure equitable access across the Pacific to these life-saving commodities. The U.S. and USAID remain committed to taking action to support the scale-up of access to COVID-19 vaccinations around the world, and we are proud to be a major contributor in creating a safer Pacific region.
