EducationUSA held a one-week virtual program, at the American Corner, to promote higher education in the United States to students from Samoa.

These live sessions allowed students and teachers to virtually join discussions with EdUSA Advisers and twenty U.S. university admission experts who shared their knowledge on a range of topics surrounding the student admissions process.

Embassy Apia’s Education Adviser, Apulu Veronika Mata’utia Mortenson stated that the virtual program is now available on Facebook for college students (Year 9 to Year 13) and NUS Foundation Year.

The week’s program had students from Le AMOSA and Leififi College participate in the live sessions, giving positive feedback at the end.  In the words of Le AMOSA Principal Fitimaula Donna Aiono Ioane, “Awesome opportunities abound here. Thanks for an injection of hope and motivation for students and educators.”
